At this point there are no Bluetooth keyboard for the BlackBerry. The Blackberry can only support wireless headsets/audio at this time.

HOLD ON THERE....
Even the manufacturer of that keyboard doesn't specify BlackBerry http://www.chainpus.com/support/BK60...ility_List.pdf
I emailed mymobilegear - waiting for a response. I suspect they are dreaming about it.

Here is an excerpt of the response I received from them:
Hi Robert,
Thank for your interest in the Bluetooth keyboard for BlackBerry devices. We are finishing up with the English version of the BlackBerry driver as we speak and international language support will be added if demand is high. Preliminary testing of driver and keyboard has been done with the T-Mobile 7100t, Verizon 7250, and the Nextel 7520 Bluetooth BlackBerry handsets. ETA on the BlackBerry driver I would say will be around May 20th provided our programmer do not run into problems.
Product availability - production of the keyboard is due to be completed in a week but shipment by sea is not scheduled to arrive California for another 4-6 weeks. We can expedite shipments by air which will make availability around May 30th but of course the cost would be different for expediting such orders.
$145.00 is their suggested price.
How many users would pay $145 for such a keyboard? We get about one email a day for a keyboard compatible with the BlackBerry. BTW I think he meant June 30th for availability.

This might confirm the rumors I have been hearing.
Yes, I would pay $145 for a Bluetooth keyboard. However, not right away - I am still on the BlackBerry 7280, but I expect to upgrade during the summer.

For me, it would depend on how big the keyboard is when folded away (assuming it would) the reason I got the 7290 was to minimize the amount of products i carry around. It might be good to keep at the desk however

An important thing to know is that bluetooth keyboards (compatible with the HID profile) will work with Palm's, Treo's, PocketPC's, laptops, and desktops. You can even use a Bluetooth keyboard simultaneously as another keyboard on the same computer - useful for conference room presentations and/or a remote control. This helps justify the higher cost of a Bluetooth keyboard.

Well if the interest is there in this manufacturer then we will carry them.... I'm sure we will sell them for less than 145.

I think Mark R has a thread going on this... If these guys can make it work then Think Outside should step up... the quality of there product is good and I would rather continue to sell that keyboard than bring an unknown into the line.

If you have an exclusivity with RIM (for a time period), then I might as well buy one of them. I'm not going to wait for ThinkOutside till 2006...
Are you at the liberty to say what kind of exclusivity you have with RIM?

Check this out:
http://www.freedominput.com/Freedomkeyboard/compare.htm
It says "RIM BlackBerry Approved"
I also notice that it is a SPP based protocol, not a HID based protocol. That would explain why it's a lot more easily supported by BlackBerry - The 4.0 SDK already has SPP programming information.
Looks like I have no choice but to consider this keyboard! It's going to be many months before ThinkOutside is able to work on BlackBerry!

I am getting it. I've already contacted them. Keep tuned.
I will post a review of this keyboard next week, if I can get it ASAP.
