The battery has always been available it's just doors... and from the looks of it the door lives!

In the case of the 7250 the regular battery is rated at 900mAh vs. 1525mAh. Compre that to the third party $99 extended battery at the same mAh rating as the standard battery.

This battery will work with 6510, 7510, 7250 and 7290 models but you will require a matching battery door as this battery is larger than the standard battery. Your standard door will not fit. The key is to find the larger door.

and Verizon is out of stock. Which doesn't matter for me as they wouldn't deliver to Canada. This looks much better than the Moftware battery. I wonder how much thicker it is if anyone knows. It also looks like an official RIM manufactured device.

I think VZW is out of stock because the battery/door combo doesn't exist in channel yet... I keep a close watch on all things BlackBerry and though there is a part number for that battery/door combo I haven't seen one yet.

As far as the moftware battery is concerned.... it's not OEM and I will leave it at that.

got two of them fr verizon over last two weeks. solved my complaints about poor standby and usage time. goes 3 or four days now (ie. what gsm users get on thin batteries

deceptively bulky little guys. elegantly curved cover makes it look thinner than the approx 1/8 inch it adds. havent weighed it, but you never forget it's in your pants pocket now. and you'll need an ample pocket.

i didnt even bother looking for a case. installed one of boxwave's "crystal clear" display protectors and some of the egrips on; sans case.

btw, the battery power indicator did not read accurately until i ran a javaloader -u on the thing and reinstalled the os. don't know if that's necessary or just a coincidence. tech said required.

I'm about to order one from your store. Are there any holsters that will accomidate the larger battery? Can you point me to one?

MarkH sorry I didn't see this post sooner.

All of the holsters have enough give in the elastic to work with either battery size. The new active holster work particularly well in that regard.
