Believe it or not, but the current moving through the device is not enough to mess it up, when submerged.....the big killer from dropping it in water.....contaminants.

Good save. My pager hit the toilet once too and I didn't get the battery out in time.. it only received half it's pages after that.

Unfortunately I can't clean my broken screen.

My cousin once poured a whole can of rootbeer into his laptop (that he was purchasing from me). It took 2 quarts of 99% isopropel alcohol to clean it out. Isopropel is wonderful for displacing water out of electronic devices and then evaporates itself, but you need to ask for the 99% at the Rx counter, not the 70% on the shelf.
