Default got a small scratch..

Please Login to Remove!

so I just got my new 8700 g on Friday. Screen got it's first small scratch on Saturday!

HOW annoying-- I ordered a screen shield-- my question is... anyone ever do anything to make small existing scratches a lil more bearable?

it's a real small scratch-- but of course, I can tell the where it is when the screen is bright-- Thought of maybe using some toothpaste to sorta "buff" it out! lol

I ordered the screen shield. Wonder if that will make it appear better once I apply it.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Bo

^^ usually when you put the Invisible Shield or Best Skin Ever on it "fills" the scratches makes them much less noticable.

Any opinions on the invisishield vs. the screen patronus? I use the screen patronus now, and love the clarity and ease of application. I know that the invisishield is a little more involved from an application standpoint, but would like to hear about the clarity. From what I understand, the shield has an eggshell feel to it, but does it affect overall clarity?

Thanks.

The Screen Patronus product is slightly clearer but does not last as long.

Thanks lgreenberg. Any estimate on how long the screen patronus might last under "normal" conditions? I've had mine for about 3 weeks without any signs of it coming up.

Don't BB without an InvisibleShiled
i definately agree with this statement
i dropped my BB screen first from waist level onto gravel

the housing got all scratched up around the mic and the bottom under the keyboard.... but the screen was still spotless

luckily for me, roger's had a replacement unit being shipped to me already, so i've now got a full body shield on my new unit... but of course, hope that i'll never drop my bb like that again

I couldn't find any images of it, but does the skin actually go OVER the keys? I would think that wouldn't work very well. My BB has a few dings since I got it in March, but I'd like to keep it minimal. I have an 8700c. Any other skin recommendations or tips...also, how tricky is the skin to put on?

Their should be a solution in the bottle that you use to apply the invisible shield.

I suggest you go to their web site and watch the video on installing it.

I had the exact opposite experience actually. Now the rest of the screen is so pristine my eyes are drawn to the flaws that existing before I applied the Shield. Not that I wouldn't buy it again, it did exactly what I desired it to do. -Pk

Spray a little in your palm, place one of the skins in that palm, sticky side UP, spray some onto the sticky side while in your palm, then place it in the correct position on your device, and while still wet maneuver it arouns a bit until it is perfectly placed, use your fingers to gently rub out the bubbles if any, and use a credit card to do it on the screen and back portions, then gently pat off excess with clean dry cloth, leave alone for as long as possible, preferably 18-24 hours. Piece of cake...

I just ordered the Best Skin ever kit for my t-mobile 8700g. Would this affect fit on the plastic holster it came with? Or does it fit normal?

Thanks anyone for any info.

Thanks for that! I did look on the website, but the videos were more advertising than instructional. Why don't they put directions on, or in, the package? Oh well, your directions are clear and I'll do it toniht. THANKS!
