Default Flashing red led

I recently did a backup with desktop 4. I have a 7280 with OS 3.7.
The red led indicator is flashing now approx every 10 seconds. There are no messages and no calender events....Its driving me crazy......I have looked under options in hope of getting it to stop.

I just want the light to flash when there is something to look at ie message or calendar event.

THanks

You are going to have to go into Profiles and check every one of the options (Messages, SMS, etc.); check to see that the "Repeat Notification" is set to none for every single option....

NJBlackBerry

I went into the default profile and turned every led notification to none.
THen power on and off and the LED light is still flashing. I wonder if there is a option to have the led flash while the blackberry is on.....

Default led blinking...

i don't usually let it bother me, but it's bugging me right now.. once in awhile, i also have the led flashing, while there are no messages, emails, calendar events, etc. i checked my profile, no repeat notification on.

my only guess is, is the notification led somewhat related to future events, or new tasks you have made?

I don't know all you flashing led folks. Maybe it's to let you know your unit is on and doing fine. As you say, just don't let it bug you. Lay back and enjoy the lights.

Do you have service when it is blinking? There is a setting that will alert you when you are out of service by blinking red.

My 7750 led blinks when I am roaming on other carriers in Canada but when I travel to the US it doesn't. Figure that one out.

jpalexandria - that works only on the 7100 series. Original poster has a 7280.

What I've seen happen before is if you receive a new email to the blackberry and you immediately 'file' the message without reading it. If you have the option set to hide filed messages, the message will no longer be in your message list, but it keeps the LED flashing as if you have an unread message. Try clicking on today's date in the message list and select to mark prior opened.

Default Flashing red led

I have a 7100 and can't understand why the led flashes on receipt of some mail but not with others. I have to regularly check for mail when I should only have to do this when led flashes - any ides?

First think to do is to check the profiles and make sure that "LED Flashing" is set for the items you want. The second thing to remember is that upon receipt of a message, the LED will flash red for around 10 seconds. That's it.

Question

Okay, I'm embarrassed to ask this question but sometimes my Blackberry 7100i flashes yellow, blue, and green can someone tell me what these indicators mean?
