Default Extended Battery

Please Login to Remove!

After reading the post here about the extended battery, I am ready to buy but have two questions:

1) Will the extended battery fit in my holster that came with the blackberry ( from Verizon )?
a) If not, what holster will ( Id like to stick with the holster instead of a pouch

2) What is the time the extended battery will last compared to the default battery

THanks

a lot longer. It'll fit in your holster (but not cradle) too! Buy it, you'll like it!

How much longer it will last is easy to figure out. Just look at how much power the extended battery has compared to your current one.

ie: if your current battery is rated at 700mAh, and the extended battery is rated at 1400mAh, it will last twice as long.

As for the holster, it should fit fine. What blackerry do you have? With my 7510 the extended battery will fit into any case/pouch/holster that the regular one does. It really doesn't add much in size to the device at all.

Very cool, I think this will be the battery for me, I can barly get thru the day on my standard batt (7520), with running Spot and Ramble alone just kills it. Plus the massive amount over internet browsing I do.

I just got the extended battery for my 7520 (from SmartPhoneDepot - EXCELLENT price and amazingly quick service, thanks rcg!!). Charged it up and started using it and haven't looked back. So far this week, it is far superior to the standard batt - hard to exactly quantify, since usage varies, but:

I turned the 7520 on on Wednesday at about 6:30AM, specifically haven't turned it off yet, and here on Friday at 11:30AM I have two "bars" of battery left (Status shows battery at 20% right now). I made about 20 calls over this period, of short duration (under 5 mins. per), received 58 emails, and sent about 20 replies. Logged into Ramble a few time for AIM checks (not continuous). So, average to light use, for me.

Before I got the extended batt, my battery would be dead by the end of every day - I had to use the car cord on the way home. With the extended, it just keeps going, and going, and...

Oh, P.S. - My 7520 goes into the clip with the magent for screen sleep whenever it's on my hip, but on my desk, I have been leaving it in the desk stand, screen on, without the USB cable attached.

P. P. S. - My 7520 with the extended batt actually DOES fit into the desktop stand, even though it's not supposed to. I put the bottom edge of the unit on the desk stand lip, and gently roll the 7520 back straight onto the stand until it "clicks" into position on the studs. Works great - no force required!

Sounds like it's worth a try to risk it - but does anyone know if the 7520 extended battery will fit in the ProClip auto mount?

the battery adds next to nothing to the size of the machine, so i don't see why it won't fit

It looks like they only have an extended battery for the 7100T. Does anyone know if this will work with my 7100G? My battery life sucks. 12 hours max.
