Unhappy 7100T Display Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday the display on my 7100t went "haywire". It shows some nonsensical graphical pattern with random lines and shapes.

I've had the unit for approx 4 months with no problems. The phone still works - it rings when I call it, but I cannot see what's happening on the screen when it's ringing or any other time.

I've tried resetting it, taking the battery out, backing it up and synch'ing it, but the display is still kaput.

Anyone else run into this or have any suggestions?

Thanks
R.

The only info I could find was to perform a hard reset. Not sure if the issue applies to you or not. Support - Display is not working by email is being received.

If that doesn't do it, I would "nuke" the device and reload the latest OS.
If your still getting no love, I would assume that you have a hardware related issue. No sure what the warranty period is for BlackBerries, but you may want to contact the place you purchased it from.

I think somehow the screen got "fried" - so basically ti's useless to me...and unfortunately I bought it from eBay so no chance of a return/warranty service.

Ugh!
Possibly the screen is loose, get a t6 torx driver and take it apart, check the connections and reassemble it.
