I just got my new 7100i and would like to add some pictures from my desktop. How do I go about doing this? Do they have to be in a certain format to load to my blackberry?

Your best option is to e-mail them to your black berry e-mail and opening them on your blackberry and then from there saving them.

I dont yet have email set up on my blackberry. Any way to tranfer them through the desktop manager?

Not without third party software like GTPhoto or Ascendo Photo.

Not through desktop manager. You say that you don't have email set up. Is that because you don't have a BB data plan, or you just haven't set it up? If the latter take the time, it will be quicker than the altrenative. Otherwise check the Ringtones, Themes, and Wallpapers forum for a thread about ringtones/wallpapers without a data plan. Can't remember which its for, but the principle is the same.

I figured out the e-mail bit to add pictures, but now I'm trying to figure out the aspect ratio to get them to fit the screen correctly. The pics that came on my 7100T are all the right ratio, of course, but no hints on what that might be. Anybody want to save me a lot of experimentation time?

Yeah - the email option is best. Wait until you have that set up.

240 x 260 or for full screen its 240x335 (if you make ur own themes)
