Default Blackberry Storm

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, My wife picked up a couple of these phones from Verizon last week and it seems like everyday their is a new issue occur that requires the soft reset (battery removal). If keys aren't disappearing on my wife's or the screen getting stuck and not rotating into landscape mode its mine freezing or horizontal lines appearing on screen while composing an email or text when keys are pushed. I know their is an update expected any day now but im just wondering if these are common issues that others are having.

I suggest a search on a specific issue or just read through all the posts in the 9500 Section.

We are also (over)due for an OS update that will address many known issues. It's just the way it is when you're on the pioneering end of state-of-the-art technology. Many of us have found a little patience goes a long ways with real issues. You are likely to find most of your issues are easily resolved by a little searching.

First of all, welcome to the world of blackberry.

As to the freezing issues, you are probably running OS 4.7.0.65 or 4.7.0.75. There were issues with lag, accelerometer, memory leaks, etc. I am currently running beta OS 4.7.0.109 and I am happy with my phone. Little or no lag, almost instantaneous portrait-landscape change, only slight memory leaks (rarely have to do a battery pull). If you are even a little computer savvy and can follow directions, you can upgrade your OS to a beta version by going to crackberry. It is definitely worth it in my opinion.
