I have a Blackberry 8800, and I must say, its old and it shows. I am interested in a new phone and was planning on getting the iPhone 3Gs, but not sure as its price is too much. I don't mind having the top of the line phone but I am wondering if the Storm 1 is worth buying? Online they're cheap used.

What are the pros and cons to it?

Cons, it is quite difficult to get the 9530 to work on Tmobile, very possible, just difficult. If you got a Storm1, get the 9500 model from Vodafone. Or the newer Storm2 9520.
On Tmo, you might just get the 9700.

Pros - great screen, you can't beat the screen and screen real estate.

What is the difference between the Vodafone version, and the Verizon version? I don't want to get the Bold 2 cause I don't have a lot of money to buy a phone. And second, I want a touchscreen phone with multi-touch capabilities.

The major difference being: 9500 and 9520 are GSM only, and 9530 and 9550 are CDMA and GSM.

Why not change carriers? Move to Verizon and you wont have to deal with the issues associated with unlocking the phone. Verizon pretty much has the same features as TMO.

ZelhaBB, I really would but I don't pay for the phone and not to mention that my parents have me on a pre-paid plan with T-Mobile, and I'm happy with that. I just have to many issue's with my 8800 that I want to buy a used one on eBay. I just didn't know if it was worth it cause I don't want a phone that they will drop support for cold turkey.

Also, for the 9500, what do I need in order to use it on the T-Mobile network?
