I'm in central time zone and this past weekend I was in California. I'm back, but all my calendar appointments are off. When I enter a new appointment, the default time starts at 10am (instead of 8am). If I enter in say a 2pm appointment, it shows up as 12pm i.e. starting at 12pm and lasting for 3 hours instead of 1 hour???
I know there was a similar issue on the BB 8900, but there was a calendar patch for that. I searched, but found nothing for 9700.
Any ideas?
Do you have Auto Update Time Zone selected under Options, Date/Time? Or did you change your time zone under Options Date/Time when you went to California? Set it to your "home" time zone (Central) and then let the Blackberry do the math to keep you on schedule in whatever time zone you are located.
You can also change time zones in each new appointment, so you can tell your blackberry that you have a 10 AM Pacific time meeting on Friday, and when you are in the Central Time Zone on Monday it will show you the meeting time as Noon (Central Time).
The auto update time zone was a huge improvement when I switched from the Curve to the Bold 2.
