yaY!!!
i'm not going to use it tho until i get my screen protector in.
i want to conserve that virgin screen. ordered the screen patronus today.
but i must say this phone looks and feels good. definatley a huge upgrade in the screen from my old 7100t (had to peel back the protective film and take a peek!).

just thought i'd let people know and waste forum space! jk.

but seriously, this phone is pretty neat. i excited to migrate from the
hybridized 7100t to the full blown 8700 with full qwerty key board.

Wirelessly posted (TMobile 7100t: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I too came from a 7100t to the 8700.

Honestly? I can't figure out how I ever got along with suretype; it's a night and day difference. My first forray into the BB was the 7100 so I can't comment on much else outside of the same ole "OMG, TEH SCREEN IS TEH ROXOR" (even though it is quite good). I just find the full qwerty to be the biggest draw for me.

I've been using my 8700g for two months without a screen protector and even though the screen is flush with the rest of the phone, I don't have any scratches. It seems to be a pretty resiliant screen.

Just got mine about a week ago, I love the device itself.

However, I'm about to switch to cingular upon news of the BIS 2.0 and price drop.. so I'll be getting the 8700c

any comments about how the two compare?
