Default 8830 BlackBerry Crap water damage garbage

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry 8830 that is less than 60 days old. Periodically Ixxx8217;ve had a problem with the keypad. Today I decided to take it in to a verizon**** store in Farmington Hills, MI. The manager pulled the back off and right away told me that it has water damage. He told me that this can be caused by having the phone in a bathroom when taking a shower???? What a piece of crap he was and what a bigger piece of crap this 8830 Blackberry turned out to be? Do not buy one of these phones because they are made to be placed inside of a Cracker Jack box!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This phone has never been in any water!

so a phone is a piece of crap because you violated the terms of the warranty by getting it wet... interesting theory. I suppose when your run over a nail and it destroys your tire that the tire was a piece of crap for being pierced by a nail? give me a break.

Wirelessly posted (blackberry 950)

I have recovered several BB's from moisture!

I have had the LDI (liquid damage indicator) turn pink by simpley going from a very cold atmosphere out into the heat and humidity! Humidity=Moisture

I have tested in the bathroom with BB's and regular cellphones alike! Fact is these are pieces of electronics and are sensitive to such things!

While the OP may never have exposed directly to liquid or moisture it is certainly possible it may have been affected by other circumstances that caused the LDI to change!

The phone is not a piece of crap because of your failure to care for your device!
Are you being honest in your statements?

All phone have a piece of litmus paper on the back, and sometimes inside the phone. Moisture turns them red. That moisture can be water, soda, beer, or even the humidity from your shower. So, dont take your phone in the shower with you. I know its a crackberry, but you'll be fine without it for 15 minutes while you shower.

or leave the door/window open to the restroom and/or take cold showers to eliminate the amount of moisture in the air.
