Default BlackBerry users make more than the Average Joe

Please Login to Remove!

I suppose now that sense of importance that some feel when they’re using their BlackBerry is somewhat legitimized (I don’t actually believe that, but hey, to each their own). An article’s been publsihed on Network Computing’s official site, noting that BlackBerry users make more money and work harder than those without a smartphone device.

this is believable, but in my area i'm working in a aging workforce and they believe in doing this the old "easy" way. I don't think when i started out working for the insurance company that i work for that one of my bosses had a smart phone, nor did they want one. i would almost go out as far as to say none of them even wanted to use a computer. so i guess this would not be the norm

Or maybe it's because people who are rich actually have the money to buy a blackberry.

Default Young Mogul

I'm certainly not rich. I'm 16, and my main income comes from KFC. I'm the youngest in my area with a smart phone (Alltel Blackberry 8703e). But I guess I'm not normal. I am very productive at school. As well as being very productive with the small enterprises that I have.

I seem to always have more money than my peers. Even those who make more than me. Nickname is MoneyMan.

Not true. You can get a number of BlackBerry devices fairly cheap, and some at no cost if you sign a contract. Do some research, you'll find them out there.

Yep, after mail-in rebates, my 8700g cost $50 and that was when it had only been out for a month. You can find great deals online.

Data plans, well, that's another story. That's where the true cost lies, if you have to pay for it yourself and it's not provided by your employer.

Kind of an inverse article. Having a BlackBerry doesn't necessarily mean your starting with a company and immediately getting the CEO's position but given BlackBerry markets primarily to the business community its not surprising that people who have become directors, CFO's, CEO's etc would use BlackBerry as a business tool and in those situations the corporation is paying for all their services. Its like saying Rolls Royce owners tend to make more money, well they have to given how expensive the cars are to own.
