9700 with google sync

I'm having issues with a 9700 BB calendar. I been using google sync on the device for about 6 months. So that I can sync my calendar entries with google calendar so that my business partner can see appointments booked. In the last month he had updated his device and now BB calendar and google sync re add the same appointment everytime google sync activates. So the one appointment has been added to google calendar over 300 times for the same entry.
Is there any way I can correct the problem?
