A number of apps downloaded from the BlackBerry store or the Amazon app store that use mapping functions (like Yelp and OpenTable) fail when they launch the mapping part of their app. Yelp requires you to download the GooglePlay Services from the Amazon store - which of course you can't do. And then the app crashes if you try to proceed.
BlackBerry needs to reach out to developers to let them know that there are native mapping APIs for BB OS10. In fact, if apps are calling the Google maps API on Android, those requests will be proxied to the BB maps and should deliver maps to their apps.
