Default using facebook app through wifi

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a new blackberry curve today, and as yet, it isn't set up to use the internet through my mobile company. No matter, i can connect to my wireless network, and have downloaded applications and used the web that way. However, the applications themselves (ie, facebook, google talk) won't work, presumably as they're trying to connect the internet. How can i force them to use the wireless connection?

You cannot.
Those applications will not work until you have a Blackberry data plan.
They require it to work over wi-fi, or carrier network.

I am having the same issue too with my blackberry bold 9700 wherein i cannot use the yahoo messenger and facebook even if i am on a wifi zone unless i subscibe to my mobile network provider ( i am using smart ). Please do update me if there is already a way for theses applications to work on wifi without subscribing to the network provider.

There isn't a way.
They require you to have a blackberry data plan before they will work.

Default Facebook without BB data plan

For facebook, you can use the older version 1.6.0.21.
