Default New Constant Issue: CalICSSynchronizer issues

Please Login to Remove!

Starting yesterday morning with one user every 20 minutes I am getting this error in my BPS logs:

[40267] (10/31 08:32:55.519):{0xF0} {***@***.com} Starting calendar rescan
[40136] (10/31 08:32:55.519):{0xF0} CalICSAgent::GetDirectoryName synch directory retrieved from registry: C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents\ICSSync\ for USER
[20060] (10/31 08:32:55.582):{0xF0} CalICSSynchronizer::Synchronize - Synchronize failed: (0x8000ffff), step 0/0
[40720] (10/31 08:32:55.582):{0xF0} MAPI call failed. Error 'Unknown Error.', LowLevelError 2147549183, Component 'Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store', Context 1006
[20044] (10/31 08:32:55.582):{0xF0} CalICSAgent::Synch: Could not synchronize for USER
[30243] (10/31 08:32:55.597):{0xF0} {***@***.com} MAPIMailbox::DoICS ICS Synch failed
[20280] (10/31 08:32:55.597):{0xF0} {***@***.com} DoICS() failed: ERR_FAIL
[40701] (10/31 08:32:55.597):{0xF0} {***@***.com} Calendar rescan completed

Then in Event Viewer I get 3 warnings:
Blackberry Messaging Agent 20060: CalICSSynchronizer::Synchronize - Synchronize failed: (0x8000ffff), step 0/0

Blackberry Messaging Agent 20044: CalICSAgent::Synch: Could not synchronize for user

Blackberry Messaging Agent 20280: {***@***.com} DoICS() failed: ERR_FAIL

This is driving me crazy and it's only happening to one user, anyone have any thoughts, ideas? Thanks!!!

I have a single user myself with the same type of error. Haven't found a resolution yet.

Default Painful solution...

I have found that the issue is a corrupt item in the mailbox. To fix it, I open outlook, do an Advanced find and open the top one. I then hit Ctrl+> (or<, forget) till I get to a point that I get an error that says "Can't open item" or similar. I delete that one and the errors in the log go away. I do not always get an error like the above though and it is a fishing game. It would be nice if RIM put the subject in there so I could find it easily and delete it.

I agree, very annoying as it is the only predominate log entry I have. Got rid of most of the others ones through the years....

Has anyone else found an easier way to resolve these error without having to parse the person's mailbox to find the corrupt message?

Maybe try moving the mailbox to anothr server or store, that should filter out any corrupt messages.
