Merry Christmas all-

EDIT: Went to Empower Your BlackBerry from my PC and the upgrade went flawless from there. No email was necessary. Curious though why I couldn't do this directly on my BB - Oh well, it's all good now!
This is how I upgraded as well since I haven't receive my email as of today. Upgrade went smooth, great work Ani!!!!

Can we use the above method if we did not order directly from Empower. I ordered through handango I believe.

I tried using the same login that I used at handango and no luck. Any help would be appreciated on how you got it to work.

Hi ani,
I purchased your empower pro along with BES mail box on i believe, Thursday or Friday, the day pro was released. I bought them from my device, and for whatever reason the email came back invalid saying the pin was invalid. i sent you my receipt when it happened, but with the holidays its totaly understandable. Let me know when u could send me my license codes.

Users who are on 4.0 and 4.1.x, please do not upgrade now. We are working on a 4.1/4.0 compatible version that will be released in due course.
My OS is 4.2.0.64 ...do I fall into the "it will work now" camp, or do I need to wait until the 4.1/4.0-compatible version is out?

Thanks,

bigme - use your email as your login. And your order no. as your password. On Handango, your Order Nos start with HD.... just drop the first two letters "HD" off and use only the numbers.

Also, when you login for the first time - it asks you to set a password. Use that password for all subsequent logins.

Thanks
Ani.

Joachim - EMV Pro is compatible with 4.2.1 and above. You are on 4.2.0 so it will not work for you now. We suggest you upgrade to 4.2.1

Thanks,
Ani.

No.. no need to modify the mobihand order nos - they are already numbers only. Handango attaches an "HD" before its order nos, so those two letters need to be dropped to make it numeral-only.

Thanks,
Ani.

I used the email address that I registered with handango and the order number from the handango receipt (email).

I still can't register using the link due to the firewall issue that I was having. I wiped clean with JL_CMDR and reinstalled the newest OS, but the firewall is still enabled and locked. Am I just out of luck?

Drop a line to support - explain the issue clearly. I guess you are on EMV Pro, if that is the case - tell them so & your order no. / email and they will help you out.

Thanks,
Ani.

Yes, I am on EMV Pro. I sent a support email last weekend but haven't heard back. I'll give it another go and see what comes of it!

My Pro version has stopped working now, and I'm still waiting for Support to get back to me with a deep discount code so I can purchase it.

Any way to speed this up?

Cheers

Ani,

All went exceedingly well!

I followed the instructions in your post - I ordered from what was your site at the time - I think it was Mobylo. That took me to a kind of hybrid Mobylo/Handango site back then when I purchased. So I wasn't sure I was considered as purchasing from "your site" since you now have your own domain.

But I went there, signed in, followed the links through as they took me to Mobihand this time. My order # and email address were recognized all the way through and I paid for the upgrade.

Within a minute I opened the Empower options on my 8300 (I had already installed the trial version of Pro), went to About, clicked on "Check for Updates" and I was registered immediately.

The web-based registration was just too easy! And the upgrade process worked like a charm.

And the Pro version is extremely well-done. I already knew about the greatly improved visual aspects that everyone else has already commented on; but things like regaining the ability to scroll correctly are also great.

Thanks for a super new Pro version, and an amazing upgrade and registration process!

Sorry that I bugged you earlier about the deadline. You came through great!

Jim
