Is it unlocked?

Does the SIM work in another device?

Where did you get it?

Hi
Yes the sim was working today in my old samsung phone, I bought the phone from a blackberry shop on Ebay, if I take the sim out and turn the phone on I can see all the icons but as soon as I put the sim in it stays on the egg timer
Thanks in advance

These guys are really great at solving problems, but it's very inportant that you provide as much information as you can. 1) was the phone unlocked when you bought it ? , and 2) does the phone have a carrier name on it, is it a different carrier than your using?

Are you putting the SIM in the proper way and in the proper slot - make sure that you aren't inserting it in the SD slot.

Hi Yes

When I purchased the phone the advert said it was unlocked, how can I tell if it is unlocked, it does not have a carrier name on the phone but I bought it as fully reconditoned and unbranded ?
Still not working though ?
Thanks in advance

Wirelessly posted (L'neuf trois)

Go to Options>advanced>sim card. If it's unlocked, it'll say "disabled" at the top for sim card security.

I have borrowed a T mobile sim and put that in the phone and it started immediately - but 02 are still insisting its not a problem with the sim ? Have checked in options and its not locked ?

Any ideas
Thanks
Janet
