Default Price for the 8320 and data plan on T-Mobile? Anybody know?

Please Login to Remove!

Yeah, I know that nobody really knows and we really won't know for sure until T-Mo officially announces it, but give me your best guess based on how T-Mo has priced their Blackberries in the past?

Also, any idea how much the data plan will cost? A T-Mo rep said that he couldn't speculate on the data plan because he had no knowledge of or information about any new BlackBerries other than 8800 (yeah, right). I then asked him to tell me what the data plan could cost based on current BB data plans. The rep said that it would depend "if this so-called 8320 has wi-fi".

My question is if the 8320 has wi-fi, then will that force owners of the 8320 to pay more for a data plan than people who own BlackBerries that do not have Wi-Fi? Somebody educate me because I've never owned a BlackBerry. When I briefly tried the MDA (which had wi-fi), I think there might have been an additional charge for T-zones, but isn't that optional?

Also, any guess about the price on Cingular for the 8300 and their data plan when it comes out?

Thanks.

1st: It wont be out for a while......

2nd: Regular data plan will be the standard $19 a month without T-Mo @ home service

3rd: Price will probably be $599 (retail), $469 with one year contract, and $349 with 2 year contract....

Thanks. Is this statement based on insider information or speculation? Some rumor sites such as BGR suggested May (11th?) for the 8320 release date which isn't too far away.

Anyone want to guess how fast the Wifi will be? And that has to be accurate at any location you connect at.

I can not speak to your state of mind nor do I know what speeds this mythical device will run at.

Why do people insist on posting speculation?

We've seen with countless prior BB releases that until the devices are in the distribution channel nobody knows the release date and in many cases the features.

The data prices have remained standard for quite some time.

Mas - this device supposedly includes WiFi.. One could assume that the carrier might charge more for that.

Only if the carrier's going to offer UMA or something along those lines. Otherwise a BB data plan is a BB data plan. There's no reason you couldn't use a standard BB data plan if you didn't want UMA.

There's no concrete data until a carrier makes an official announcement, regardless of whether information is "specualation" or from an "inside source". It's all speculation until officially announced.

I'm getting that worried feeling that the first 83xx's to be shipped will lack one of the key features I'm holding out for. WiFi, GPS, Camera for stills/video. The legendary "Poppa Bear" is what I'm waiting on. Damn the price, I'll take it!
