Default How to reset the Predictive Words list?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

With time, my predictive words list has assembled a lot of junk words, and there is a bunch of them that annoy the hell out of me.

Please let me know if there is a way to edit this list or reset to a brand new fresh start of the predictive words list.

All my searches on Google returned little information I could use.

Thanks

Add, change, or delete a word in the custom dictionary
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Typing and Input > Custom Dictionary.
• To add a word to the custom dictionary, press the BB (Menu) key Select New. Type a word or letter combination. Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
• To change a word in the custom dictionary, press the BB (Menu) key Select New. Change the word. Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
• To delete a word from the custom dictionary, highlight the word. Press the BB (Menu) key Select Delete.

Thank you very much. My interest is to delete or reset the predictive words list. It is the words that appear as you type to help you with your typing versus spelling. I believe it is as different thing than the custom dictionary, as the words that "annoy me" are not in my custom dictionary.

Also, the link did not work. It gave the message "503 Service Unavailable". I'll try it again in a few hours in case it was a temporary issue.

Suretype/Predictive uses the words from your custom dictionary, if predictive/Suretype is enabled and you are using the above mentioned method of typing, and the word that annoys you appears from time to time, then that word is located in your custom dictionary.

The link is working again.

It worked... but I don't know how.

The words I wanted to deltee did not appear in my custom dictionary. -- Guaranteed.

But I nevertheless reset the custom dictionary, and now when I type those "annoying words" don't show. Which is the objective. I do't mind having lost my desired custom words.

Thanks for your help.

There is no extra "predictive word list". There is only the custom dictionary. If you see strange words that are not in the custom dictionary, they might come from your contacts. So if one of your contacts has a strange last name or first name, it might also pop up.

Easiest is if you type the word that annoys you in the universal search and see if it pops up somewhere (e.g. in a contact).
