Default Bold and WIFI

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I've had my bold for a week or two now, and i still havnt realized how to get the WIFI to work, or so i think...

What happens is i can connect to my WIFI network, and when on the homescreen the WIFI sign does turn bright white to connect, but what i dont seem to understand is when i start browsing i still see the 3g sign or the edge sign, a couple of times when i did this i saw the wifi sign instead of those two signs... so i dont think my phone is using the wifi to browse even though it is connected, ive double checked that i have the correct password entered in the wifi setup... if anyone has any tips please help me out... thanks

I had the exact same issue. I would connect to WiFi but the browser would always switch to 3G. Mine ended up being the bookmarks that I was using. I had upgraded from an 8700 and my boolmarls carried over as MediaNet bookmarks. They always used the MediaNet connection which doesn't appear to use WiFi. I edited the bookmarks to use Internet Browser and now I am able to use them across WiFi. Check it out and see if that helps.
