since we can download mp3 ringtones and all that, has anyone actually used their phone as an mp3 player also... (do they have a program written that has an actual mp3 GUI?)

Depends on what device/handheld software version you've got. The Pearl (8100) was the first device to include a media application which allows you to play music files (e.g. MP3, AAC, etc.). Also the newest versions of the Dssktop Manager v4.2.2 has some media sync capabilities.

The media manager will not work on the 7130e. The handheld needs 4.2 OS in order to work with media manager. 4.2 is not yet available for the 7130e.

i just ended up getting BIS so i'm good to go there

my cousin has a palm, so i just made him put my ringtones and pictures onto his mem card, and bluetooth it to me. thats the only free way
