Visual Voicemail NEVER works smfh

Hey guys,
I've had this problem with my Visual Voicemail for a while now. I've tried wipes w/only keeping my address book, memo and msgs. I've done OS upgrades. And it's still the same. Sometimes it takes a while, but more often than not, it happens after a reboot.
This error msg comes up, virtually out of nowhere.
"uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_vvm(105) is not responding; process terminated"
From there, if I click on the VVM icon, it says, "uncaught exception; object already exists"
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Anyone else having this issue?
BTW, Blackberry 9700 on AT&T. 5.0.0.979.
