Hi, some apps on my phone are unable to make
SOAP requests. After some research, I found that it's the APN settings causing the problem.
Here's my confusion. Some say to use "wap.cingular.com". Some say to use "isp.cingular". Others say to use "proxy".
This website states that the APN "wap.cingular.com" is no longer necessary. Instead, I can use "isp.cingular". But it also says right below that, "former" AT&T customers should set their APN to "proxy".
Other posts on different sites state that wap.cingular.com is still used, depending on your internet plan, and "isp.cingular" is for tethering phones.
This site has more conflicting information.
This site warns of the data plan charges regarding the APN "isp.cingular".
And finally,
this site says to use "proxy".
Can't make heads or tails of all this.
Can anyone clear this up for me??
Thanks guys!
