None of the stores in Jacksonville Florida have them but expect them in todays shipment. They are in the computer and ready to sell.

List you city and location if you know where they have dropped!

Store #1 in Detroit: "we'll get it sometime mid next week"
Me: Oh really, so it looks like some stores get it today while others get it who knows when?
Store: "Oh, today's Thursday....it ships today and we'll get it Monday"

Ugh! Truly pathetic.

Two stores in Fairfax, VA - no clue. "No release date". Sigh. Clueless I can handle...but these folks can't read either.

Can someone confirm the price on a 1-year? Also, do the in-store prices have 'instant rebates' like we see online, or mail-in rebates making your up-front cost higher and you have to wait for the check to come in the mail?

Framingham, MA - Spoke to a nice guy who said that currently they have none, but that UPS comes at about 11:30 and FedEx by 1:30, so they may get them then.

Just to chime in for the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area folks... I've called every AT&T Corporate Store I can find, and not one have it in stock yet. One store hadn't received their shipment for the day, yet, so there may be a possibility they get it today. I left the woman my contact information.

I haven't bothered with the authorized retailers -- my feeling is they'll get it last.

Granted, I already have an 8300 from O2... but since it hasn't been unlocked, I was thinking about grabbing one from AT&T.

It is really just another phone to them. You can't really expect them to be as excited as Blackberry forum members are for the latest, greatest.

If they had the ability and desire to obtain and retain all the latest information about each device that they offered, with few exceptions, they probably wouldn't be working in cellular sales.

I got this same answer at my local store in the Mall. 2-3 weeks behind release. Even though they (this same store) had the 8700 the day it was released.

I am going to try Cing/Att sales line and work a deal- then just have it shipped. At least it will be on the way and the store can't approve good deals anyway.

I just called 611, and they don't even have the 8300 in their inventory, even though it's on the site. . . figures.
