The SMS issue popped up again. Was sending fine after a battery pull on cell network. Got back into wifi coverage, left wifi coverage, tried to send SMS, no luck. Pull battery, and it works again.
Weird.
Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Cursor...
The lack of a cursor in messages was a deal breaker for me. I'm sure that will either be fixed, or someone will find the way to bring the cursor back...but for now, I'm back to 5.0.0.979...

T - Mobile Clarification?
Need some clarification...
From the comments, it looks like T-Mobile US users may run into hiccups???
Any T-Mobile users care to comment on UMA use/issues after updating?
Thanks

Feedback: they Changed the "Send SMS" to "Text to.." took me a while to get along with this change. Still ok with me.
Also they grouped Search with options under messages instead of straight listing. Little annoying but still OK with me -

I’ve been trying 9700 v6.0 for 2 days
every thing works fine except:
1) unable to downgrade the existing appworld to 2.0.0.36 which works on wifi in unsupported countries
2) The COPY and PASTE option in the contacts fields doesn’t exist
(when you edit a contact) you can select the text using the ALT + trackpad but you cant do a copy nor a paste
3) IN the BBM if you scroll in up or down in a conversation you can copy any line from the conversation, yet there is no cursor that indicates on which line you are standing which makes it impossible to track the times of the conversation line by line
4) The old Alert Files are gone and new few alerts exist which makes it hard to assign alerts to multiple emails and social networking programs and IMs
other than that everything runs smoothly, battery life is the same as 5.0.0.979.
WIFI strength is significantly better. the OS uses much more of your build in device memory allowing you with around 70 megs of free space for applications and stuff
The OS needs more tweaking to evolve into the ultimate BB OS. and this will happen consequently.
Regards

The cursor is there. It's just a pain to use for now. You have to scroll to where you want to be and then hit menu key/select text.

Still havent had a issue with the new OS, one of my applications isnt working at its best but its working so I would say its somehow all good. Applications havent been modified for the new OS so it doesnt bothers me cause from all the ones I have that is the only one that is, lets say, working at 95%. ;)
Im loving the new OS, such a diferece from the OS5 and I'm speachless when it comes about thinking about the prevoious ones (OS4...).
It was time already for something like this to come up.

Dont do this:
Turned on Enterpris location tracking with battery at 60% in a location where no GPS reception is possible.
Result: 1hr later the battery is down to 8% !

Feedback:
> Marky's QuickNote utility works ok but again there is no cut/copy/paste option because BB key does not pop up any menu.
> Also under Address book entry, if you look open the Contact that has street address, it will give option to "Show Address on Google Map". It only shows on BB Maps and not one G-Maps.

anyone else's external volume controls don't work when the bb is holstered? I have to take out the bb, volume up or down, then holster it again. It's quiet annoying cause it doesn't work for phone calls either. Am I missing something or is it just a "beta" thing? Battery management is much improved over .979. That is OS5.

This has actually happened to me prior to updating to OS6 so I don't think it's a OS6 issue but I could be wrong. I just automatically assumed you couldn't do that while holstered haha.

I have only seen one problem or "glitch" since the upgrade. It won't keep the changes to my contacts when I edit them. Maybe because my gmail account is open? Anyone else have this issue. This is not a deal breaker for me. Loving the upgrade!

Yup I found if your in wi-fi it's fine and it sends, as soon as your out of wi-fi and on the network it will not send unless I do a soft restart on the phone, so I just said piss on it and left wi-fi disabled and works great...I tried every combo of options and nothing worked, but if I have more time this weekend I will do a complete wipe and try again, but SMS is important so I dunno what to think.
Wait for the official drop from Rogers

This OS is by far the best, ive used 4 & 5, now 6.
This is by far the quickest, OS out.
I'm now going to keep my 9700 for awhile now, as i was going to change for another blackberry, this OS 6 makes the phone feel new again.
great, its light, fast, no problems so far.
thanks for the leak!

The only thing I've heard from buddies with the 9700 - is that with Rogers/SMS and 6.0, you can't send TXT's while on the phone...you can receive them while on phone, but not send.

I love this OS so far. My only issue is that all the alert sounds have changed. I cant find the ones i've been so used to in OS5.
