REmove the battery immediately and don't put it back in until the device dries out completely.

If you can take the device apart, that is best. If not, then put it on top of your TV for a few days to help dry it faster. There are quite a few threads on this, actually. I have revived BB's from the bottom of hot tubs, coffee, etc. The key is to immediately remove the battery. If you tried to wipe it off and turn it on and make it work then it's possible that it's done.

did that, also took out the sim and the micro sd, but it's not looking so good (parts of the inside are starting to rust)

As JC said I'd leave the battery out for about 5 days or so....

i can't pry anything out lol, i'm gona leave my phone on top of my router so the heat helps it dry.

im gona have to be honest here, my phone was probably in the water for longer than 10 minutes, i didn't even know it fell in =/ once i got it out of the water i took everything out but i fear it is too late

After you take it apart you may want to try baking it in a toaster oven at low temperature (120 degrees F) for several hours to dry it out. It worked for me with a Uniden cordless phone.

I had that happen to me with a Canon digital camera, but only it fell in the toilet. Don't worry the water was clean. I did everything to dry out the camera including removing the batterry and SD card, and amazingly, it worked . . . or so I thought. Three months later it crashed. I was told by Canon that it wasn't worth fixing and they gave me a good deal on a refurbished camera with 1 megapixel more. I'm not a technogeek, but what about using one of those cans of compessed air to blow the excess moisture? Good Luck!!

I hope it works out for you. Patience is key, these things do have a reputation for being pretty solid. It may all work out for you. Just definitely make sure that it is dry before trying to do anything with it. I have had my blackberrys survive water, being a dogs chew toy, being thrown out of my pocket while on a horse, and landing in horse manure.

Wow Blackberry's are built solid if they can withstand horse manure, that stuff is stinky.

I had a sony once, it took a big hit of water and the screen went completely white, the rest of the phone was still working though, as soon as it hit water i did the stupid thing and tried to turn it on, and off over n over again, because the screen went white i had no idea what was going on so that basically lead to the phone's demise. I could still make calls after i let it dry out for a month, but the screen was just so faded out by liquid damage. And that is when I bought my first blackberry pearl.

if i don't open my pearl, how long do you think i should wait before trying to ptu in the battery (obviously i'm not gona use my water damaged one, my aunt has a pearl too, so i'll try it with her battery)
