Has anyone bought their blackberry online at Ecomm stores or auctions?
Was it a good or bad experience?

I get all my devices online from T-Mobile.com.... Me personally, I'd never buy from a device from anyone under 1k feedback on eBay...

I bought my 7100i new from Mobiledia for $80 with $80 in rebates.
I bought my 7520 on ebay for $90. The BB is like new and is now my favorite.

I bought my 8700c off of ebay for about 300.00. It was advertised as new, and I have had no problems with it. I cant remember how many feedbacks the seller had, but I know his percent of positive feedbacks was very high.

I got my 7250 on eBay for about $100. The seller had great feedback and the pre-owned phone came as advertised. Been using it for months and have had no issues.

I have bought 2 phones on Ebay with no problems and in great condition..also bought one on Craigslist which enabled me to actually see the phone before buying it. I even bought one here once on the sell forum. Of course there is always a risk when buying on-line versus from a carrier...

I've bought phones off ebay with no problems. I don't buy from sellers w/ less than a 1000 feedback unless their positive rating is at least 98%.

As long as it is either New In Box, or has some kind of warranty against DoA's, I'd say you're probably safe.

I bought my 8700c new off the Cingular website and the OS was corrupt out of the box. Goes to show it's all just luck of the draw. :X

I have bought phones from Ebay, Wirefly, Amazon and never really had any problems. I always buy my stuff online for some reason.

Same. Other than that funky OS problem I had, the only issue someone with a perfect phone could run into is needing Tech Support via their carrier.

If you're a Sprint or Cingular customer, and you buy a brand new phone on eBay and it breaks.... tough luck. If you buy it online through the carrier and it breaks... better hope you have a copy of the purchase order/invoice/packing slip to prove you bought it from them, or no love.

I've bought and sold numerous phones on Ebay. Only one time did I have an issue, and that was when a seller sent me a phone with a dead battery. But he sent me a replacement battery no extra cost, and no hassles, just like a local store would, so I was happy. Cheap chinese phone accessories, however....(come on, admit it, all of you got at least ONE of those silly signal booster stickers as a "freebie" right?)

A co-worker of mine got stung on a Razr she bought on Ebay. When she called her service provider to find out why the SIM card wouldn't recognize it, they informed her that the serial number had been reported stolen so they would not allow the phone to be activated. I told her to go back through Ebay claims and get her money back, not sure if she ever did.

Just use common sense with Ebay. Make sure they have high feedback and make sure you pay with Paypal so you can get your money back if anything goes wrong.

Just out of curiousity, why do you say that? I've had Cingular for years, they've never given me any flack about ebay phones. Especially after the conversion to GSM made it easy to switch out.
