Default 7290 screen question

Please Login to Remove!

What is the meaning of the tiny circle with a diagonal bar through it and the numeral 2 to the left of it? It is located to the right and slightly above the battery life indicator, about halfway between the battery life indicator and the time of day. I have searched many web sites, FAQs, the 7290 user manual, etc. Could not find a single mention of this indicator.

Thanks!

Thanks. By the way, today it has a "1" next to it instead of a "2".

Push message likely. Do you get weather or other updates from the RIM help website? These messages don't present like other messages...there is a separate indicator.

are you talking about the globe? have you recently tried to visit a website and gotten an error saying that you are not in an area which supports data transmission, and then clicked "save request"? thats usually how i notice it.

Thanks. That was it. I had recently added the mobile option to one of the IM services. It pushes messages to let you know it has logged you out.

But now I have noticed another symbol just above it. It looks like a pair of binoculars looking at me. It has the numeral 1 to the left of it.

I thought that meant you had a voicemail.
