Default iPhone convert to Tour...got a question

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone I am new here! I just got rid of my iPhone and got a Tour on Verizon. I loved the iPhone, except some flaws it had, and hated the service of AT&T...so far, I am loving the Tour and the blackberry platform! I am slowly, very slowly learning the setup up!

I have learned alot from everyone on here, just reading and searching, and the ticks and tips section has been awesome but I have not found the answer I am looking for.

The question:
To check my Text messages do I have to always go to "view folder" then scroll down to the SMS/MMS inbox or outbox, or is there a faster way! Thanks in advance!

And if I didn't search hard enough, please forgive me I tried, and I know that is the first thing to do when stepping into new things, and using a BBS. (bulletin board system)

sweet thanks guys for the quick response! And thanks for understanding that I am going through a learning process! I will try to make it a quick key!

You know what I love most about my BB, it actually makes and receives calls!

Oh, another question, I can't send text/email when its plugged into charger, it says "radio is off", what does this mean?

when the battery is critically low it will shut off the radio....so nothing will be available again till the phone feels the batt is high enough to turn the radio back on.....kinda of a con with the BB but what they did do is have it automatically turn back on when it feels the batt is high enough before you use to have to go and manually do it...well this stood true with my curve dont know about any other BB phone

Welcome to BB land. Do you miss that sexy interface on the iPhone? It's the only thing I envy about the iPhone... That interface is slick...

Yeah that is true. When battery is really low it turns the radio off, but when you plug it back in you can go turn it back on manually in the connections menu.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. And all the good info. Yes I miss the UI of the iPhone, its truly ahead of its time and something that every smart should strive for, however there are some serious drawbacks.

1. No push email - I am an email junky, send and receive about 100 a day
2. You can never feel the phone vibrate or hear the ringer. I had both first gen through the 3g, thought about the 3gs.
3. It freezes a lot and has some weird glitches.
4. You can't send or receive calls, but if you use a BB through AT&T, you can actually make and receive calls!
5. Do i really need that many applications, there is app to manage your app.
6. Not having actual keys sometimes really sucks!

***I had to Jailbreak the phone to actually get the full potential from the phone***

I will say I miss a lot of things about the iPhone, but its coming to Verizon so at least I will have the ability to have a choice later on, for now I am happy. Just taking time to learn the new UI!

Dont forget the Iphone's lack of security due to multiple vulnerabilities.
