Hi,

I have been asked a question by my boss that I cant answer (not owning a BB myself).

Our field reps all have BlackBerrys and untill now the sales team would inform the sales rep of a request for an appointment and then it was left to the rep to do the rest.

We would now like to be able to view their calender, find specific free time and make appointments for them (by the Head Office Sales Team) and then upload these appointments directly to their BlackBerry's Calender (or other software if we have to buy something).

Oh and their 8900 models.

Is it possible to do this?

I am not on BES so not sure about BB's doing that. Probably do and someone will enlighten us both. But I demo'd a program called Nice Office, in which the paid version seemed to offer that. You can just google it.

Are the users on BES?

If you deploy Outlook and share the calendar you will be able to see anyonexxx8217;s appointments and free time. Your also need to deploy a BES server to fully control the service yourself. There are commercial BES services available but Ixxx8217;m not sure they all offer full two way calendar support but it may be worth checking. Check the features of Outlook for more details. You are asking about something the BB is best designed to do with ease.

We dont have BES yet but the company would be willing to invest in it if it would serve the appropriate functions.
