Hybrid OS
Please Login to Remove!
Here you go BBF. After a good deal of testing I have made 3 Hybrid Storm Builds. There are almost 1500 posts on the subject HERE if you feel like reading it all. This is just the findings thread, there is another thread where I took the issues with each build and tried to remove them. So far v2 is the best overall with the only downside being the camera doesnt work. V3 is slightly slower with occassional lag, but the camera does work.

Thanks Dacy. v2 is very solid, I love it. V3 i switched to to test it vs .103 and .106 (since all features work in v3) and still cant move away from the hybrids.

hey sith, great job i loaded your latest version and its pretty good work...
one thing, since .103 has been released (as I've switched just for the sake of testing), a lot of the speed issues and configs were fine tuned...but it lags like crazy after sending and recieving text messages...and picking up phone calls...
any chance of a hybrid mix with this version...or is that what you've incorporated with V3?

.103 was already incorporated into the builds. I am taking a look at .106 and seeing what components are going to be good to use. As for the comparison, its up in the air at this point, people are split on what version is better (v3 or .103). While v2 is the fastest version by far, not having a camera kills it for some people.

Agreed, V3 was the best IMO, and this is great work man, I am looking forward to your next release....106 should hold a few better fixes and features, but that lag in between supressing an alert and the alert actually suppressing itself is quite bothersome...it hasn't been addressed with these hybrids either, so I was looking for some sort of salvation as it's been on every build since .90, for me at least

I think this would be in violation of many copyright laws....RIM could sue you for damages...or they could offer you a job...either way...Watch your ass!

Just fyi, .106 is holding nice and firm for me -- SO FAR.
I left the radio code as is, didn't change anything. EDGE is holding fairly firm, the occasional drop to 'edge' rebounds pretty quick. Camera works.
I will give it more time.

Sith Apprentice,
Id like to thank youfor taking your time to put a hybrid build us. I am downloading right now V3 and will test it. Cheers to your fiancee also because I know its time consuming. My gf's hated when I would start messing with PC hardware for hours. Ill report soon the changes I notice from 103 to Hybrid V3
installation worked but for some reason my device cannot connect in order for I to trasnfer T-Mobile service books in DM. I dont use the camera at all so I am going to go and try version two instead.
