possible to open up 6750 to look inside?

a post I read here gave me an idea about how I might be able to fix my phone. Now I need to know if its possible to open the 6750 and take a look inside at what might be wrong internally, or if anyone has ever accomplished this before without damaging their phone. I've looked at what I thought should be screwdriver entries but I noticed a kind of padded foam there, making me think maybe this model wasn't intended to be opened. Does anyone know for sure?
