I have a problem I hope you can help me with. When I am using the phone and an email comes in I get an irritating ring that interrupts my call and makes my other party think i have a voive mail. Is there any way to turn the email ring off while I am on the phone? Please let me know if you know.

are you sure it is an email, could it be an SMS Text message?

I would check your profiles section. Options Profiles
Check out SMS - scroll to the very bottom and see if it is set to notify during calls - I set it to NO cause I hate getting interrupted during my calls.

My phone doesnt seem to have that option. Must be too old of a model. This is really aggravating.

As a test, set yout profile to "Quiet" and see if that helps. If you haven't messed with the default Profiles then that should turn off ALL beeps, rings, & buzzes. So don't forget if you dont hear a few phone calls.

Also, you keep talking about how old your device is... Have you tried installing the latest compatible OS?

I've never seen a bb able to get e-mail while on the phone. My 7130e however can send and receive text messages while on the phone.

I've heard some stories about 7520s that have gotten SMS messages, but when I had one, I was never able to even get a text message let alone reply.
