Also considering that you are going to sell the device, if your on BIS, make sure you remove the PIN number from your account. Sometimes the IT policy will be pushed back to the device and it will start receiving your mail again.

its very important to check the policy, you get trouble with the buyer if a policy is on the bb

Along these lines, are PINS saved anywhere? I have some confidential info that I've sent over PINS and would hate to have it turn up anywhere down the road.

They are not stored anywhere except maybe a BES. If you aren't on a BES then PIN's are gone once you delete them.

If you're logging PIN messages, they'd be in the log files folder with all the rest of your BES logs. They get stored in their own .csv file in the log folder.

Where is the log folder? I use a 3rd party BES server.

You need access to the server that BES is on. You need to be the BES admin.
If you're using a hosted BES, there's no way you'll be able to see the log files.
This is one reason I'd personally never use a hosted BES.
You're giving control of your device over to someone else... and there's really not much, if anything, you can do about it.
They can log your PIN messages, call logs, SMS messages, etc. You give up all privacy.
