Hi how long does a playbook last if watching movies? Reason is the plane we may fly on is a 10 hour journey but doesn't have own personal seat back TVs.

Also is there any battery extender or charger, again the plane wont have a power socket.

I never timed mine while watching a movie, the more data the stream has the more work the CPU has to do. so a blu ray movie quality will not last as long as a compressed 640*480 one.

we use playbooks on car trips and my kids have not killed them in 7 hours.

There are some USB battery packs you can get to charge it up if need be.

Trent Battery Pack and Charger looks like it will work well.

Yes there are USB battery packs available in the market. You can go to the nearest vendor and get the most suitable one. However, as far as the "tips" for battery life are concerned, I have never found any useful. You have to waste so many minutes of your life just save a few minutes of a stupid battery life.

The kids have watched 2 720p movies in a row with juice left over.

I have a couple of these:

Charge Anywhere - Mobile Devices at iGo, Inc.

For long flights without AC or USB power.

Tip: in the car I use a DC to AC inverter and the BB magnetic charger. You don't want the kids breaking he USB port on the Playbook.

What do you use to mount the PB onto the headrest if you are doing that.
