Default Pornography on Quick Pull application

Please Login to Remove!

I have noticed over the last several months that Quick Pull has been running ads after a start up. It appears that they have sunk to the lowest level and are now running ads for porn. Shame because I really liked the application.

If you buy QuickPull, the ads are gone.

I hardly ever get ads when I use it. Even my wife has it on her 9700, no porn ads on hers.

Odd. Surprised a BlackBerry application would do that.

Quickpull v 4.0.4 both free and paid worked fine on my Tour and now on the Bold 2, running 5.0.0.732 and now 5.0.0.810.

Never saw any porn on the free one's ads.

Guess it does not work on my OS, cause when it was time to restart it would bring a pop up saying changes were made. Then I had to manually hit restart, or it would just hang.

Mine did the same thing, until I updated this past weekend to the newest OS and now it works great again. And I too have not seen any porn advertisements when it has worked or not..

Sydman..... mine did the pop ups also went to the Quickpull site and their FAQ's, type in the question about what is happening and follow the directions for reseting the permissions and that will fix your issue

QuickPull never worked for me once I got OS 5.0, (neither worked A+ Reset or the other crap). But yesterday I found a new app - deReset - never heard of this before ... well it seems to work very well ! I will probably buy it when trial is over.

Anybody with experience with deReset ?

Trying it out now. This is the 1st I have seen advertising "5" anything though. Hopefully it works! It is one thing I miss about 4.x

  • Installed as expected
  • Rebooted
  • Set permissions
  • Registered (I had previously paid for it on 4.x OS)
Upon its 1st startup, I was presented with a popup from QuickPull saying everything was working and was updated. Thats new.
Next I went in and tried a manual restart - worked like a charm, and again upon startup I was presented with a popup saying it had rebooted successfully. Cool.
I then set the auto reset for 1 minute out and then sat and watched it - rebooted just like it used to! On this startup I got the same popup.

I am happy

Why do people want an app for resets??? Just press the three keys on your keyboard.

It comes in handy for devices such as the Storm without keyboards.

As for the original topic.... QuickPull and porn... Too many jokes come to mind, I'll have to pass this time.

If I need one manually I do the 3 key press, but then I get to sit and wait for it to boot up.
It is a lot nicer to just wake up and it is fresh - it does it automatically every night while I am asleep.

Why do you need the internet??? You have a library full of books and magazines you could go to I am sure.
