Has there been any more talk of adding functionality for BBs with 2 light levels? IE 7290? It would be nice to have an option to always set it to high.

I have this installed on a BB 7250 and the external power setting does not work for me. All other choices work great. Any suggestions?

Deadstick said "The program called BBLight will let you turn the backlight on and it will stay on until you turn it off. You click the BBLight icon in the ribbon to turn on and click it again to turn off." I have loaded BBLight onto a 7100 & there is no icon in the ribbon to click to turn the light on & off! It is in applications & can be set up in different ways but I particularly wanted to be able to simply turn the light on & off as & when I wanted to, is there a way of doing this?

I think BB LIght is buggy at best, I also have a 7250 an do not get to have it go on when on external power, it actually goes on and then times out like always. It also only works once in a while when you use an app, so most of the time i wind up doing exactly what I was trying to avoid which is to go hit the button to make the light come on. I also wish there was a way to make it stay on permanently when i want it to, I cant get it to do that either, i know there are some programs that claim that they will do that but I am so very skeptical about buying software since a lot of it seems not to work the way it is purported to work. Part of the problem I think is that there are so many platforms of the BB that you cant cover all the bases, and that is a shame since I do not see anyone writing for just one type of BB only.

Hate to sound like a broken record .... any plans on improving a great application, to work with the 2 levels of backlighting on a 7290 ?? Ideally it would be nice to have an option as to which level you would like initiated.

Default settings help for bblight needed

Just installed 4.0.2.49 on my 7100t. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get BBlight to shut OFF after a period of time.

I want it to come ON on external power, removal of hoster and on user activity, but also want SOME sort of a time out if I leave the 7100 sitting on my desk. I swear it was working that way before I upgraded the OS. I have poll interval set at 100.

Any advice?

TIA

Jeff

I've got the same problem. (7250 v 4.0) I'm using a car kit and want the light to stay on. Loaded BBLight without a problem; however, backlight won't stay on when connected to power supply (USB cable).

Any ideas?

I have found out since that you can make it stay on all the time by using the "on time of day " function by setting a time for it to come on and giving it the number of hours you want it on in minutes on the next line, however that will eat up your battery.

Thumbs up BBLight on 7250

This program works excellent. The options for the program are for when to turn on the light. So if you check off 'On user activity' or 'On external power' it will turn on when you plug it into external power. To keep it on indefinitly you need to check off 'From time of day', set the time to when you want it to turn on, if you want on permanently use 00:00, then change the 'Duration' to 1440 min (24 hours). When you holster your BB it will turn off the light, and if you have 'On Remove Holster' check it will turn on when you take it out.

Default Program won't load on BB 7250 with V4.0

Your program is just what I'm looking for, but when I download, unzip and try to install it it tells me that it can't load BBlight.cod because the digital signatures were not valid. What am I missing?

Another happy camper here. I just installed it today for my wife, who has an 7290. It would be nice if we could chose between dim and bright when user activity is checked. I know the 7250s and 7290s have two levels of brightness.
