Default battery problem

Please Login to Remove!

This just happened to me since 3 weeks ago. My battery usage drops like sane, I can only use the phone for 8 hours then the battery bar is red and the green light blinks. I thought the problem was with the battery, so I bought a new battery and then re-charge it over night and the same problem still occurs. What is happening? How can I fix this? How can I know if the problem is with the phone itself and not the battery?

Please do a search.... Did you buy a genuine blackberry battery from a reputable source? What about third-party applications that you have running all the time or running in the backgroun? Is there any reason to suspect damage to the blackberry? Have you dropped it, exposed it to moisture?

I personally don't have experience with the new blackberrys and I don't know the subtleties of the operating systems wrt to battery life. On that, you really should do a search and see what people are saying.

That said, you indicate you were not doing anything differently and all the sudden your battery life declined significantly. Ok, battery could be failing. You buy another battery, and same thing. Do you trust the "new" battery? If you bought from a reputable seller and the price was not too-good-to-be-true, then maybe the new battery isn't in doubt.

Do a search for posts on battery issues or battery useage issues within the forum for your model blackberry and see what you find. If you don't find an answer and you are confortable wiping the OS and reinstalling, or upgrading, that's something to consider as a try-and-see-what-happens effort. Or you could buy or borrow a battery that you know for certain is good and see what happens. It's a matter of rulling out possible causes of that battery drain.

Try going to a store and ask them if you could test out a battery.
