Default How to unregister an AT&T 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

can somebody tell me where do I have to write to get a curve 8310 unregistered from the AT&T network. I just bought a Blackberry curve 8310 from a guy coming back from USA, his blackberry was setup on AT&T and I can't get it unregistered from AT&T to register it on ORANGE (France) and get my email ( the phone is already unsimlocked , so what is needed is just to unregister it from AT&T Blackberry Network/router , so that I can register on the Orange BIS ).

thanks in advance

You need to have the original owner call at&t and have the PIN released from there network, then you will be able to register it with orange. If the origina owner deletes the blackberry from at&t BIS site that may also work, otherwise you'll have to plead your case to orange customer service which sometimes works!!

It's the same with any model BB on any carrier. You need to call the carrier that the BB is registered to and have the BIS account deleted.

Nope. The owner can delete the associated email accounts but cannot delete the BIS account itself. The carrier needs to delete the BIS account.

If I have an older model BB which used to be on my BIS account, but I changed that BIS account to a different BB & different PIN, is my old one "released"??
