Lol, thats great news aboutthe 16GB card. I was under the impression we can only do 8GB.

And you guys all make me laugh. We all seem to jump at funny typos ;)

BBFanboy beat me to it.

The Bold will support up to a 32GB MicroSD. The only issue is they barely released the 16GB.

Typical .. you never get the FULL gb they tell you... just look at your computer hard drive etc. 16gb is probably 16 and all the zeros after it (in bytes, not bits, or vice versa, can't remember at this time of night!) but it is not really 16gb.

Default Where is the 16GB card available?

For those of you have 16gb cards already, can you please post where you ordered them from? I checked Best Buy, Circuit City and Amazon and all of them are offering the 8gb cards only. I really need the 16gb card so I can download all my music at one go and then officially kiss my ipod goodbye (though I may still keep it for the gym, it's been dropped a bunch of times on the elliptical and still works )

This won't be what you're looking for (it's a UK site) but with the falling GBP perhaps you can get a friend to send it to you.

SanDisk 16GB microSDHC Memory Card : SanDisk 16GB micro SD

Unfortunately, I think the US Dollar is falling just as fast.

Unhappy

Look on XE - The World's Favorite Currency and Foreign Exchange Site, 1GBP = US$1.62874

Yesterday it was around 1GBP = US$1.75

It's fallen a long way. It was only months ago when it was roughly 1GBP=USD$2 !

Default 16GB Cards are finally available

Just checked online and the 16GB Micro SD cards are finally available at mainstream retailers. Best Buy is selling them for $99, Amazon has them a little cheaper at $96. Can finally load all my music and pix on the Bold!

Default Size can affect performance

Keep in mind that the larger cards do have a hit on performance while it is scanned. I would buy the Sandisk Ultra if available. I have the Micro Ultra SDHC 8GB and it is much faster than the basic Micro 8GB SDHC, both accessing and read write speeds.
