I updated to 5.0 yesterday. One thing I can say I don't like so far is the way it separates email and SMS/MMS. I find it quite annoying to have to access the two through different programs. I'm not a big fan of the new SMS interface either.

Goto messages/general options/sms and email inboxes. You have three choices. Hope I understood your question and this helps.
