Grrr....is it me or are all these places scams? They try to fleece you one way or another it seems. I don;t mind paying for some of them, but be straight up about.

Any body with me?

BTW, now I just use Audacity freeware, so its not a big deal now, but just had some issues this past week.

Yeah, they are definitely scams. Just check out the small print on one of their commercials next time one flashes by.

I know have over 200 Ringtones. All via Audacity! Its the best software out there for it.

There are legitimate, good, ringtone sites, like the ones mentioned here, but there are a lot of scammy sites. I would always Google the site before downloading anything. Like the one posted here by a spammer recently -- it had lots of complaints about it on the web. Another place to check is Protection from Adware, Spam, Viruses, Online Scams | McAfee SiteAdvisor. It will usually tell you if the site sends spam, or has viruses, or is running scams.

i have all the ring tones that came with my BB curve, plus one down loaded tone, and one that ripped out of a reliant k tune.
i agree the commercial ring tone sites are out to make a big buck and do whatever it takes to get inside your wallet.
