Arrow No 83xx for T-Mobile this week...

Please Login to Remove!

My local T-Mobile shop has received their promo material for the new phones being released this week. It's an 8800 with the GPS, not the 83xx. No mention of cameras or WiFi. Maybe next month we will see it, but they don't have any details on any other model phone coming out right away.

So, the wait continues for an 8320 with WiFi on T-Mobile.

Hard to believe that the 83xx is not coming out the same week as the 8800.

I am trying to hold out for the 8300 but I doubt i will make it! Might get the 8800, give GF my 8100 then when the 8300 comes out sell 8800 for it....

I am getting twitches and shakes at the thought of passing up on a shiny new BB...

Its not gonna come out with the 8800, you can't have two new bb's comeout at the same time. Its like competing against yourself.

Woah - wait a second partner. Everyone in these forums raves up and down about how the 88xx and 83xx cater to different market segments. If that's the case then releasing them both the same week is not a problem at all.

So, are they targetting different people or not?

Since very few have seen the 83xx, I am not sure who is raving, what they are raving about, and what market which device caters to.

Remember the Pearl is for consumers, right? But business users loved it - even with a camrea.

BBs cross market segments.

man i wish they would have released the 8300 first, to kind of mix up the different blackberry's among carriers. like if you were looking for a new phone and had a choice between the cingular 8800 and the t-mobile 8300, which one would you get? instead of cingular 8800 or t-mobile 8800. more of a variety would be nice, IMHO

Yeah, I was so pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone told me the T-Mobile store got the new Berries today and when I went to look thinking I was going to see the sleek and tiny 8300. I see this big ass clunkly 8800.
I had to check to see if I walked into Cingular by mistake...either way I didn't even bother to go any closer to the 8800 and T-mobile wants $549 or $349 with rebates for that heavy ass P.O.S!
Yeah sure...

But WTF no 8300!?

calling the 8800 a big clunk POS compared to the 8300 is like calling a suburban a big clunk POS compared to a tahoe!

The Cingular 8800 IS bigger than the 8703e. The edges are more square and not rounded off.

Sorry about the language.
I didn't mean to offend. But I was dissappointed to not
see the 8300 sitting in t-mobile today and when I saw the Cingular 8800 in my carrier's store I almost fell over.

I don't like the 8800's design aesthetics...it is square and clunkly. Compared to the rounded edges and pocket friendliness of previous berry models.
Maybe I'm wrong in my observations...but its just my honest opinion.

There aren't even any RUMORS about when (and if) the 8300 comes out on T-Mobile.

T-mobile has been working on new services for a long time that will run UMA. They have been pushing its release back for a long time now. It only makes sense that the 8300 would be released when that does as most of t-mobile phones will be uma capable as well.
