Default How to delete former users email

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a BB curve and they did not delete the BB email. How can I delete it so I can use mine? It asks for username and password which I do not know. Any help would be appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I assume you are referring to the BIS account. You need that information from the original user.

You can wipe the data from the device in Options >Security Options >General Settings >Menu Key >Wipe Handheld.

You need the pin released from the previous owner's account, though. You will not be able to register for BIS if it's still linked to the previous owner's account.

Good luck with this. You may need to get the former owner to do this. He/she should have done so before selling the BB.

It's best to contact the previous owner, as they should be changing the PIN associated with their account (if they got a new BB) so that their email will go to the new device.

But if you can't get in touch with the previous owner, as long as you have the device, you can go to the (previous owner's) carrier's BIS site and click on the "forgot password" link. Once you enter the PIN of your (their old) device, the username and password will be sent directly to the device.
