I have developed and successfully installed an MDS app on my BlackBerry. I’m now trying to perform a ribbon alert. When I navigate to http://myserver:7090/mds/PushListener in the browser, I am prompted for my credentials. However, when I try to push a ribbon alert using this URL, I get a 404 not found error in Visual Studio for the app that is attempting the push. My push logic works fine when pushing to the simulator. Also, if I use the wrong creds I get a 401 not authorized error, so I know the creds are ok. Any thoughts?

Problem resolved - but I'd appreciate some insight if anyone can shed light on this. I changed the url from localhost:17080/mds/PushListener (my test MDS service loads at localhost:17080s) to localhost:17090/mds/PushListener, and it worked. I'm extremely new to BlackBerry development, so this may be well understood by some, but I could not find any documentation on it.

By default the MDS server that gets installed with the tooling uses 17080 as the port to use for web access. When you install the MDS Services during a BES install you specify what port you want to use. Whomever intalled the BES specified/agreed-to 17090 as the port to use.
