Not sure about seeing duration during the call, but after the call you can go to your call history, open that specific call, and it should tell you the duration.

Sounds like your trying to limit the call time. Keep in mind the BB only gives an approxmate duration and the carrier may round up. The best thing to do is check to see if they offer a running use time on their web site.
