Default Does Verizon 8830 support EVDO Rev A.

I am currently using an Verizon model 7250 blackberry and plan to upgrade to either the 8830 or 8330. For the most part, I like the additional features of the 8330. However, I regularly use my blackberry as a tethered modem, so if the 8830 supports EVDO REV A and the 8330 does not, this would be the deciding factor. Verizon's web site explicitly says that the 8330 is not Rev A upgradable, but does not say whether the 8830 can support Rev A or not. Does anyone know whether the 8830 supports Rev A?

I did numerous searches on this forum and did not find a definitive answer. I apologize in advance if I over looked it. Thanks.

I spoke with our Verizon rep just last week as I was getting my 8830 set up for tethering for this summer (lots of travel for me this year) and they stated that there will be an upgrade for the 8830 this year (3rd quarter) that will support Rev A. Also, in the immediate sentence after, they looked at me and said "If they tell us 3rd quarter, we expect 4th quarter."

In my testing, the downstream is fairly decent, enough for email and web (estimate about 600-800k) and the upstream is about IDSN speeds (128-256k). I did not benchmark, just used an FTP client to upload and download 5mb files from my site... For me, this is enough for my needs, though with Rev A, I know I will be able to play my WoW...

There is no mention in any documentation released from RIM or the carrier that any BlackBerry is rev A. (Also no mention in the FCC approval documentation about it at all either)
